Daniel J. Minucci passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Golden Living of Old Bridge. He was 91 years old. Born in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township, he resided there before moving to Woodbridge 18 years ago. Mr. Minucci was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading, where belonged to the Holy Name Society. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Star Landing Post #2314, Carteret and the Port Reading Fire Department. He was employed as bus driver for the Township of Woodbridge for many years; and was previously employed at the Raritan Arsenal in Edison. Mr. Minucci was predeceased by a son, Robert Minucci. Surviving are his beloved wife, Josephine Ragucci Minucci; a son, Daniel Minucci, and his wife, Irene, of Toms River; a daughter in law, Nancy Minucci, of Madison, CT; two sisters, Alberta Gladis and Molly Stanziole; five grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home thence to Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading for a Funeral Liturgy at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 436 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064.
