Concetta  McGovern of Union passed  away  peacefully on  Friday morning,  September 22, 2017.  She was 95 years old.

She was born in Nutley, NJ on September 21, 1922 to Lenore and Pompellio Garruto.

Concetta was employed for many years by RCA Corporation in Harrison and Avenel, before retiring.

Her husband Donald McGovern, passed away in 2012.

Concetta is survived by two loving daughters Darlene Wirzbicki of Union and  Donna Speranza of Garwood,  a brother Peter Garruto  of Woodbridge,  four grandchildren Dawn Wirzbicki,  Dana Matina,  Tony and Andrew Speranza,  and three great grandchildren.

She was cherished by her family and she greatly cherished them. She was full of love, patience and understanding. She always had an encouraging word to say.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, Sept 26th at 11:15 AM at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow at St. Gertrudes Cemetery,  Inman Ave;  Colonia .

Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:15AM.
