Clifton E. Pollock passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 79 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy on June 26, 1945 to the late Ann and John Pollock, he resided in Woodbridge and Carteret for most of his life.

A 1963 graduate of Woodbridge High School, Mr. Pollock was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the USS Dixie in San Diego. With the opening of the new Woodbridge History Museum, he was honored with a display of his uniform, pictures and medals. He was a Class A Pipefitter and owned and operated Pollock Fence for over 40 years.

He belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Perth Amboy and BPOE Elks Lodge 2235 in Carteret.

He loved cooking especially his spaghetti sauce and chicken soup and baking Christmas cookies with his grandchildren; and hated paying others for fixing something he could fix himself. His last gift to the world was donating his organs to needy recipients.

In his younger years he loved taking his kids fishing on his boat.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Cindy Pollock, in 1982.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Barbara Uvages Pollock; children, Stacy Stryjewski and her husband, Bill, of Greensboro, NC and Scott Pollock and his wife, Shellie, of Sewaren; stepdaughters, Danielle Murdoch and her husband, Gary, of Bokeelia, FL and Nicole Detlet and her husband, Matt, of Skillman; sister, Jeannette Uszenski, of Sewaren; brothers, John Pollock and his wife, Rosinda, of Woodbridge and Joe Pollock and his wife, Barbara, of Long Branch; grandchildren, Alyssa Pollock, Matthew and Tyler Murdoch and Riley and Reese Detlet; and his nieces Janice, Lisa, Christa, Annemarie, and Jackie.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
