Christopher M. Yuhasz passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home in Carteret. He was 30 years old.

Born in Boston, MA, he resided in Avenel before moving to Carteret 25 years ago.

Christopher was a graduate of Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen and received his bachelor degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, the Union Chapter of NJ DeMolay, Cranford and the Sons of the American Legion, Carteret; and had attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 88 in Carteret.

Christopher was predeceased by his mother, Leslie Ely Yuhasz; and father, Michael Yuhasz.

Surviving are his maternal grandmother, Edna Ely, of El Paso, TX; and aunt, Holly Ely Calantoni, of Avenel.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, 621 East Woodbridge Avenue, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.
