Christopher John Lucas passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2024. He was 59 years old.

Born on October 29, 1964 to the late Phyllis and Lawrence S. Lucas, he was a lifelong resident of the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Lucas was a graduate of Colonia High School, Class of 1983; employed as parts manager with Lucas Chevrolet in Avenel.

He was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church Iselin; an avid NY Giants Football and NJ Devils fan; belonged to American Legion Post # 248 Horseshoe Club; and enjoyed crabbing and vacationing on Long Beach Island.

Surviving are his children, Ashley Hrab and her husband, Mark, of South Amboy Christopher Lucas, Jr. and his wife, Ashley, of Iselin,  and Dylan Lucas and his wife, Emily, of Indiana; sisters, Kathryn Martinak and her husband, Bill, of Edison, Beth Lucas of Red Bank and Kerry Killbride and her husband, Bill, of Fair Haven; brothers, Thomas Lucas and his wife, Michele, of Barnegat and Brian Lucas and his wife, Susannah, of Westfield; and beloved grandchildren, Aria, C.J., Luna, June, Colton, Logan, Remington and River; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:15 at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church, Iselin. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday July 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
