Obituary

Christopher John Michael Bianchi passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 29 years old. He was born in Perth Amboy and a lifelong resident of Avenel. Mr. Bianchi attended Woodbridge High School and graduated as an ASE mechanic from Piscataway Voc-Tech and was employed as a tow truck operator with Rick's Towing in Edison for the past year and he also worked with his brother at Bianchi Landscaping as well as Snow Removal for Glasson's Auto Repair and Maintenance. He had previously worked with the Woodbridge Township Public Works Department. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and Ford Mustang enthusiast. Mr. Bianchi was predeceased by his maternal grandparents John W. and Mary Ann Aleskie Zaktansky; his paternal grandparents Al & Mary Bianchi; and an uncle, John M. Zaktansky. Surviving are his parents, Alfred and Mary Ann Zaktansky Bianchi, of Avenel; a brother, Al Bianchi, of Avenel; two aunts, Debra Zaktansky of Watsontown, PA and Joann and her husband John Gursaly of Fords; and two cousins, John and James Zaktansky of Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel St., Avenel followed at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Liturgy at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
