Christine Zegarelli of the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at home. She was 77 years old.

She was born and raised Perth Amboy, NJ and resided in Hopelawn for the past 49 years.

Mrs. Zegarelli had a Nursing Career of over 40 years at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, retiring as the Director of Utilization. She earned her Nursing degree from St. Francis Nursing School in Trenton in 1964.

She was a Communicant of St. Stephens Church, John Paul II Parish in Perth Amboy, and was associated with many Nursing organizations and societies.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Dr. Anthony B. Zegarelli who passed away in 2018, as well as her parents Matthew and Bertha Dabczynski Wolak.

Surviving are her sisters Patricia Ryan of Fort Myers, Florida and Donna Marie Gaetano and husband Lawrence of Point Pleasant. Nieces and nephews  Jacqueline Lentini and husband Vincent, Matthew Gaetano and wife Amy, Stephen Gaetano and wife Sarah, Marialana Mercadante and husband Anthony; Mark Zegarelli, Tami Zegarelli, Deseret Moctezuma; Grand Nieces and Nephews Gianna Lentini, Dominic, Catherine, Peter, Marie, Elizabeth, and Joseph Gaetano; Michael, Matthew, and Cecilia Gaetano; Amelia and Ella Mercadante.

Funeral will take place Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www. Costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A  Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hopelawn.  Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
