Christine Voorhees passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.

She was 45 years old. Born in Edison, she was raised in South Plainfield and has resided in Woodbridge for the past 10 years.

Christine was a member of Terrill Road Baptist Church in Scotch Plains; and has been employed as a Teacher's Assistant with Lightbridge Academy in Woodbridge for 20 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Patricia Kelly Voorhees in 1997 and James Voorhees, Sr. in 2002.

Surviving are her sisters, Susan Atiyyat of Maryland and Jodi Lavery of North Carolina ; brothers, James Voorhees, Jr. of Woodbridge, Paul Voorhees of Iselin and David Voorhees of Fanwood; Aunts Maureen Kelly and Nancy Kelly of Port Reading; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (Costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society in Christine's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family
