Christine Kyreakakis passed away on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 89 years old.

Born in Neptune on May 30, 1932 to the late Gus and Elsie Skokos, she was raised in Belmar and has resided in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township since 1974.

Mrs. Kyreakakis attended Upsala College and was employed by the Woodbridge Township Board of Education as an executive secretary for 20 years before retiring in 1997.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Westfield and belonged to the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society at the Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Poulo.

Mrs. Kyreakakis is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Kyreakakis; children, Joanne Simeon and her husband, John, of Fredericksburg, VA and Scott Kyreakakis of New York, NY; sister, Marie Del Viscio, of West Chester, PA; and granddaughters, Elaine, Christine and Diane.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 250 Gallows Hill Road, Westfield. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 250 Gallows Hill Road, Westfield, NJ 07090 in Mrs. Kyreakakis' memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
