Charlotte M. VanTassel of Woodbridge passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at home. She was 83 years old. Born in Woodbridge, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Van Tassel enjoyed arts & crafts including knitting, crocheting and candle making. She particularly liked cooking meals and sharing time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, William VanTassel, in 1982; a daughter, Diane VanTassel, in 2009; a son, Harry,in 2010; and a brother Charles DeBockler. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Warner, of Phoenix, AZ; three sons William VanTassel of Waterloo, IL, Richard VanTassel of Montville, NJ and Sean VanTassel of Cliffwood Beach; a brother, Kevin DeBockler; seven grandchildren, Ryan VanTassel, Joseph VanTassel, Denise Warner, Eric VanTassel, Richard VanTassel, Kristen VanTassel and Fiona VanTassel. Funeral will take place on Monday at 9:45 a.m. from COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME (www.costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge.
