Charles Frank Davis Sr., 84, of Woodbridge, New Jersey, entered into his eternal life on November 13th, 2017 after a brief illness.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge for 44 years where he completed many repairs and renovations.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, beginning basic training in 1953 at Sampson Air Force Base in Romulus, NY. Charlie drove package cars and tractor trailers for UPS for 30.5 years and retired in 1993. He enjoyed traveling, wood working, reading, and trailering.

One of Charlie's proudest accomplishments was when he climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge in Australia at the age of 80. However, he was most proud of his son, Charles', and his daughter, Deanna's, professional achievements. Charles shared Charlie's love of planes and became an airline pilot. Deanna valued compassion and helping others and became a critical care registered nurse.

He was born to Frank and Pauline (Shafranski) Davis. He will be survived by and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Thelma "Patsy" Barnes Davis. He is also survived by his son, Charles Frank Davis Jr. (Allison); his daughter, Deanna Beth Davis Pinkham (Robert); five grandchildren, Nicole Ashley, Lindsey Jordan, Kevin Robert, Cameron Gabriel, and Valerie Hualing; and his sister, Lois Kurowsky Edge.

Charlie is also survived by his nephew Charles Kurowsky (Stephanie); his niece Nancy Burkhead (William); his great nephew Scott Kurowsky (Colleen) and great great nephew Ryan; and his great niece Jennifer Kurowsky.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge, 600 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.
