Charlene Todd passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. She was 79 years old.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she resided in Linden for many years before moving to the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township 17 years ago.

Mrs. Todd was employed as a para professional with the Linden Board of Education for 30 years before her retirement.

She enjoyed bowling.

Charlene was predeceased by her father and step mother, William and Helen Perks; sisters, Joanne Perks and Carolyn Volpetti Monchelli; and brothers, William Perks and Richard Perks.

Surviving are her sons, Andrew Dean Todd and his wife, Sue, of Middlesex and Jeffrey William Todd of Avenel; sister, Arlene Warunek, of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Charles Volpetti of Boston, MA; and granddaughter, Marissa Todd.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
