Carol A. Klein passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at her home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. She was 71 years old.

Born in Bayonne, she resided in Hackettstown before moving to Colonia in 1971.

Mrs. Klein was employed with Middlesex County as an administrative assistant for 25 years at Roosevelt Care Center and the county administrative building before retiring in 2011.

A kind hearted and loving person, she was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; an avid bingo player; and ran monthly trips to Atlantic City with Iselin Chemical Fire Company.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert E. Haggerty in 1965 and Rigobert Klein in 2012; and a sister, Patricia Sakowski.

Surviving are two sons, John A. Haggerty and Joseph A. Klein; a sister, Grace Watts; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 6:15 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ. Cremation will be private. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
