Carmella Zullo Tampa passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 72 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy June 22, 1950 to the late Angelina and Edward Zullo, she resided in the Port Reading and Woodbridge before moving to Avenel 31 years ago.

Carmella was employed as a cashier with K-Mart in Avenel for 25 years before her retirement.

She was an avid animal lover, especially giving care to many cats that were unwanted by others.

Surviving are her sister, Edwina Zullo Repoli, of Millstone Township; nephews, Carmen Giampino and Chad Giampino; and great nephew, Giovanni Giampino.

Funeral services are private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Ironwood Pig Sanctuary (ironwoodpigs.org) in Carmella's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
