Carlos A. Menendez passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. He was 65 years old.

Carlos was born on October 4, 1952 in the Bronx and has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 23 years.

He was employed as a refrigeration engineer with Local 94 of the International Union of Operating Engineers in New York City for 25 years until retiring in 2016.

Mr. Menendez was predeceased by his loving wife, Letty, in August of 2017; and his mother, Carmen, earlier this year.

He is survived by his two sons, Sergio and Jason; sisters, Debra, Stephanie, Lisa, Diana, Violet and Evelyn; brother, Nestor; and four grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 1290 Saint Nicholas Avenue, New York, NY 10033. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings on the Hudson, NY.
