Bruce Robinson of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Ashbrook Care Center in Scotch Plains.   He was 89 years old.

He resided in Avenel for the past 61 years.

Mr. Robinson was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was an Electrical Draftsman with Federal Pacific, Westinghouse, and Public Service Electric & Gas in Newark where he retired after 26 years of service to the company in1995.

Mr. Robinson was a Coach and Range Master for Lake Island J.R.C.; a member of the Woodbridge Billiards Club and the Avenel V.F.W. Post #7164.

He was a longtime area bowler and was a member of numerous bowling leagues as well as a Gold Medal winner in the New Jersey Senior Olympics bowling completion.

He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn Scallion Robinson who passed away in 2003; his parents Arthur and Laura Dey Robinson; a sister Ruth Robinson; and his son-in-law Jeffrey Quille.

He is survived by his daughter Laura Quille of Colonia; his son Brian Robinson and his wife Andriene of Sayreville; his grandchildren Matthew Quille and Anna Knecht.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, July 21, 2021 9:30 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral home ( www.Costello-koyen.com ) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.  Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
