Brenda L. Bajek passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was 85 years old.

Born in Hopelawn on December 22, 1938 to the late Catherine and Joseph Gougeon, she in Woodbridge for many years before moving to Toms River 3 years ago.

Mrs. Bajek was employed as a home health aide, a Custodian for The Woodbridge Township Board of Education at Fords Middle School and Woodbridge High School and was employed at A & C Dental Lab in Carteret; a communicant of Saint James Church in Woodbridge where she participated in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on a regular basis; and was past President and Chaplin of the Ladies Auxiliary of Woodbridge Memorial Post #4410, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and time spent with family, especially with her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bajek was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter M. Bajek, in 2018.

Surviving are her children, Starlotte Magyar of Toms River, Bartholomew Bajek of Scranton, PA, Anthony Bajek of Somerset, Matthew Bajek of Doylestown, PA, Jonathan Bajek of Troutman, NC, Thaddeus Bajek of Keyport and Brenda Lee Ogonowski of Woodbridge; sixteen grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Saint James Chapel Mausoleum, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
