Betty C. Zaitz of Woodbridge passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2018 at home. She was 87 years old.

Born in Newark, NJ; she resided in Linden and Iselin most of her life before moving to Woodbridge 16 years ago.

Mrs. Zaitz was employed as a Clerk with Prudential Insurance Company in Newark for 10 years before retiring.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband Peter Zaitz who passed away in 2013; her parents, Alexander Hangosky and Charlotte Mezzi Hangosky; and a sister Edna Tasslemeyer.

She was a loving mother and nanny surviving are her children, Melissa Mackintosh and her husband John, Jr., of Port Reading and Kenneth Zaitz, of Metuchen; and two grandchildren, John Mackintosh III and Charlotte Mackintosh.

A funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:45 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral Home.
