Whiting, NJ — Bessie Arlene Zall passed away Monday January 24th, following an extended battle with Breast Cancer and COPD.

She was born July 23, 1939 as one of 3 siblings to Beatrice Gompers and Irving Reitzes. Bessie (Arlene) was born in Bronx, NY and grew up in the city.

Aside from her three sons, the joys of her life were her love for God and her extended family.

Bessie was employed 20+ years as a seamstress in the uniform industry.  Located on Myrtle Street in Bloomfield, NJ where she raised her sons, Thomas, Edward and Steven.

In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her younger brother Howard Reitzes and her grandson Paul E. Wilson.

She is survived by sons Thomas Wilson and his wife Debbie of Suffolk, Virginia, Edward Wilson and his wife Sandy of Cary, NC, and Steven Zall and his wife Maria of Clark, NJ as well as her older sister Carol Acevedo, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Bessie's sons wish to express their eternal gratitude for the loving and dignified care provided by the folks at Aristcare Whiting, Community Medical Center, and both Transitions Hospice and Visiting Angels of Raleigh, NC.

Private Graveside Funeral Services will be held for the Family at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ officiated by her son Edward Wilson.
