Obituary

Bertha Kaposztas passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Care One at East Brunswick Nursing Center. She was 89 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, she has resided in Sewaren for the past 64 years.

Mrs. Kaposztas was employed as a sales clerk at Bedazzle in Woodbridge Center for many years prior to her retirement; and was a communicant of Saint John Paul II Parish, Saint Stephens Catholic Church, Perth Amboy.

She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters, Walter, Frank, Stanley, Thomas and Martin Ruszczyk, Helen Chojnacki, Stella Borden, Violet Yuhasz and Berniece Wilhelm.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, John M. Kaposztas; two daughters, Geraldine Milano and her husband, Dennis, of Edison and Joyce Fenton and her husband, James, of Woodbridge; six grandchildren, David Milano and his wife, Jessica Dallas, Vincent Milano and his wife, Sylvia, Karen Milano, Jake Fenton, Beth Fenton and Emily Fenton; two great grandchildren, Vincent and Giulianna Milano; a sister, Frances Maciejowski; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John Paul II Parish, Saint Stephen's Church, Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street (at Barron Avenue), Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association (heart.org), P.O. box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 in Bertha's memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
