Bennie DiBlasi passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home in Woodbridge, NJ.

He was born on March 18, 1927 in Newark and has resided in Woodbridge since 1965. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Demetra DiBlasi in 1999, his son, Jack DiBlasi in 1993 and his granddaughter, Andrea Scherer in 2010.

Surviving are his children: Lynne Scherer of Littleton, Colorado and Ronald DiBlasi of Union Beach, NJ, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services (no viewing) will be held at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green St., Woodbridge, NJ 07095 on February 9, 2019 from 12 – 3 pm.

A private gathering will be at the American Legion Post 321, 524 Front St., Union Beach, NJ, 07735 from 4-8 pm.
