Beatrice V. DeMartino passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Parker at McCarrick Care Center in Somerset. She was 84 years old.

Born in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City where she met and later married her childhood sweetheart, she resided there and in Brooklyn before moving to Piscataway 35 years ago.

Besides raising her five children, she worked in the Piscataway Township School District cafeterias, where she made many friends and enjoyed putting a smile on the students faces as they passed her.

Mrs. DeMartino was predeceased by her husband, Henry V. DeMartino, in 2007; her parents, Mary and John Induisi; and a sister, Vivian Virosteck.

Surviving are her children, Alphonse DeMartino and his wife, Rose Ann, of Woodbridge, Lenore Puzzo and her husband, Anthony, of Bridgewater, Dr. Paul DeMartino and his wife, Rebecca, of Seaside Park, Vincent DeMartino and his wife, Doreen, of Bedminster and Maria Spano and her husband, Dominick, of Glen Burnie, MD; grandchildren, Anthony, Allyson, Tiffany, Henry, Paul John, Eric, Alexa, Caroline, Taylor and Dominque; and great grandchildren, Matthias and Madelyn.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 until 5:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
