Barbara J. Waters passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Robert Wood John University Hospital at Rahway. She was 63 years old.

Born in Flushing, NY on January 15, 1960 to the late Mary Theresa and Michael Hanbury, Sr., she has resided in Woodbridge Township since 1993.

Mrs. Waters was employed in the financial industry in New York City for 30 years and then transitioned into insurance consulting.

Barbara was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and belonged to the American-Irish Association of Woodbridge.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kevin P. Waters, in 2020.

Surviving are her children, Megan Waters, Kelly Waters, Shannon Waters and Kevin P. Waters, Jr. all of Woodbridge; sisters, Colleen McVey of Uniondale, NY and Deidre Mahlan of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Michael Hanbury, of Lake Ariel, PA; grandsons, Patrick Javier Alcantara and Aiden Michael Perez; and many loving nieces and nephews .

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.  A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Barbara's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
