Barbara Vollmann passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014 at her home in Jamesburg. She was 52 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Woodbridge before moving to Jamesburg 20 years ago. Miss Vollmann was employed with Colgate-Palmolive Company in Piscataway for the past 33 years, most recently as a Senior Research Scientist. She was a member of the American Kennel Club and enjoyed show dogs, especially bearded collies. She was predeceased by her father, John Vollmann in 1997. Surviving are her mother, Barbara Mason Vollmann, of Woodbridge; a sister, Valerie Chomicki, of Stewartsville; two brothers, John Vollmann, Jr. of Hewitt and George Vollmann of Woodbridge; three nieces; and one nephew. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
