Barbara Vollmann passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 77 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Woodbridge for many years. Mrs. Vollmann was employed as a Home Health Aide. She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge, an animal lover and contributor to many charitable causes. Mrs. Vollmann was predeceased by her husband, John Vollmann, in 1997; and a daughter, Barbara Vollmann, in 2014. She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Chomicki, of Bethlehem, PA; two sons, John Vollmann, Jr. of Hewitt and George Vollmann of Woodbridge; a sister, Margaret Ratajaczak, of Manahawkin; and four grandchildren, Melissa and Jennifer Vollmann, Amanda Hoffman and Kevin Chomicki. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg, PA. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Woodbridge Animal Shelter, 195 Woodbridge Avenue, Sewaren, NJ 07001 in Barbara's memory in lieu of flowers.
