Barbara A. Soltesz passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at New York Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. She was 55 years old. Born in Welch, WV, she resided in Avenel and Parlin before moving to East Brunswick a year ago. Miss Soltesz was employed as a secretary with Paul's Trucking and Grocery Haulers in Avenel for the past 34 years. Barbara enjoyed bowling until illness caused her to stop. She also loved going to Atlantic City, shopping and gardening. She also loved her cats, Munchkin and Scooter whom she rescued from Old Bridge Animal Shelter. She was predeceased by her father, William J. Soltesz; and sister, Cynthia Jean Soltesz. Surviving are her longtime boyfriend, Warren Taureck; her mother, Bessie Soltesz; a brother, Willie Soltesz and his wife, Andrea; a nephew, William A. Soltesz and his wife, Dana; and her best friend, Lori Lieto. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
