Barbara Ann McGann Reitmann passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. She was 79 years old.

Born in Jersey City on February 6, 1946 to the late Michael and Beatrice McGann, she resided in Menlo Park Terrace for 46 years.

Barbara Ann received her Bachelor's degree from Jersey City State College and worked as an elementary school teacher at St. Vincent's School in Bayonne for 10 years prior to raising her family.

She was an active communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge and a member of the American Irish Association of Woodbridge.

In addition to her parents, Barbara Ann was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Nixon; and her brothers, Thomas, Edward and Vincent McGann.

Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, John A. Reitmann; her children, BethAnn Driscoll and her husband, John, of Leonardo and Michael Reitmann and his wife, Christina, of Aberdeen; beloved grandchildren, Colin and Mason Reitmann and Katelyn and Jack Driscoll; sister, Joan Ward, of Port Reading; sisters-in-law Patricia Reitmann, of West Deptford; Theresa McGann, of Monroe Township; Joan McGann, of Hudson, FL; and Eleanor McGann of Leesburg, VA; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 9:45 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Saint James Food Pantry, 174 Grove Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in Barbara Ann's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
