Barbara Reilly Golden passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 81 years old.

Born in Rahway, she moved to Woodbridge as a child.

A graduate of Woodbridge High School, Mrs. Golden was employed by Somers Flower Shop, Woodbridge Main Library, Woodbridge Flower Shoppe, Meals on Wheels and D'Aprile Catering.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; and was active in her community, participating in the PTA, Catholic Daughters of America, local food pantry, as a bereavement facilitator, pollworker for the Middlesex County Board of elections, partnering with "Musty" as owner of Sunshine Crafts; and dedicating many hours before the Blessed Sacrament.

Her love of gardening, quilting and painting paled to her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Robert "Musty" Golden in 1988; and son, George Golden, in 2016.

Surviving are her children, Bob and Jill Golden of Sewaren, John and Helene Golden of Woodbridge and Judy and Jim Duffy of Woodbridge; grandchildren, Briana Decarvalho, Natasha Gunkel, Thomas Duffy, Joseph Duffy, Julia Golden, Bobby Golden, Jack Golden, Sam Duffy and Joe Golden; and great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob, Brody, Riley and Morgan. Also surviving are a sister, Monica Vitello; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday evening from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (jdrf.org) in Barbara's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
