Barbara Marie Devine passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 87 years old.

Born in Jersey City on June 10, 1936 to the late Adeline and Leo Hausser, she has resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township since 1962.

Mrs. Devine was employed as a teacher's aide at School 20 in Colonia for 25 years before her retirement in 2014.

Barbara was a communicant of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Devine was predeceased by her husband, Warren J. Devine, in 2022; daughter, Arlene Pocchiari, in 2005; son, Andrew M. Devine, in 2016; and sisters, Elizabeth "Betty' McGivney and Leona "Mickey" Maltais.

Surviving are her son, Dennis M. Devine, of Martinsville; and loving grandchildren, Daniel Devine, Michael Devine and Nicole Jackson.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
