Barbara J. Clark passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 87 years old.

Born on December 18, 1938 in Union to the late Mary and Stanley Peterson, she has resided in Woodbridge since 1969.

Ms. Clark retired from the Transportation Security Administration where she worked as a Gatecheck Agent for several years. She had previously been employed for many years as a Customer Service Agent with the former Bell Atlantic and Verizon Corporation.

She was a longtime communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and belonged to the Woodbridge Senior Billiards Club and Woodbridge Book Club. Ms. Clark was also active at the Five Branches Senior Center in Iselin and with the Woodbridge Relay for Life Team; and was a lifelong avid New York Giant Football fan.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her grandchildren, Alex Moritz and Corey Clark.

Ms. Clark is survived by her loving children, Deborah Clark of Woodbridge, Valerie Moritz of Elizabeth, Charles Clark of Bayonne and Catherine Vollenbroek of Woodbridge; brother, Francis Peterson of Maryland; grandchildren, Jenna Jordan of Randolph, Brian Fitzpatrick of Piscataway, Caitlyn Barbour of Fanwood and Jared Fitzpatrick of Jersey City; and beloved great grandchildren, Alex, Sophie, Emma and Michael.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
