Barbara Becker Ciocci passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was 82 years old.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she in Avenel for 70 years before moving to Iselin in 2013.

A graduate of Woodbridge High School, Mrs. Ciocci was employed by Industrial Building & Loan Association and was then a homemaker for many years before returning to work for NPC Freight Payment Services and then by Craig J. Coughlin, Esq.

Mrs. Ciocci was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel where she taught Sunday School, was a Deacon and also an Elder. She began the Ladies Tea at the church which is a yearly fundraiser that is hugely popular and very successful. She was also a member of the Rahway Chapter of the USO during the Korean War, a member and past president of the Keasbey Home & School Association, a member of both the Raritan Bay and New Brunswick Business and Professional Women's Clubs, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Free Public Library of Woodbridge and a member of the Avenel Red Hat Gang.

Mrs. Ciocci was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Vincent C. Ciocci; her parents, George J. Becker and Letitia Browne Becker; her sister, Delores Mondaragon; her sisters-in-law, Rhoda Donoghue, Irene O'Reilly and Sharon Becker; and her brothers-in-law, John Smath and Samuel Alba.

She is survived by her two daughters, Letitia Coughlin and her husband, Craig, and Leslie Dudas and her husband, Gregory; her grandchildren, Craig, Vincent, Nicholas, Stephenie and her husband, Dave, Jessica, Laura, Steven, Caryn and her husband, Justin, John and Steven; two great grandchildren, David George and Charlotte Rose; her sister, Letitia Smath; her brother George J. Becker; her sister-in-law, Mary Alba; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
