Barbara Bryk of the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at home. She was 57 years old. Born in Tuszow Narodwy, Poland; she resided in Linden before moving to Colonia. Mrs. Bryk was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church in Linden. She was employed in the Environmental service department at JFK Medical Center in Edison for the past 6 years. Mrs. Bryk was predeceased by her parents, Michal and Bronislawa Nowak Orzech. Surviving are her husband, Marek Bryk; two daughters, Agnieszka Bryk-Budnik and her husband, Adam, of Norway and Marta Bryk of Colonia; a son, Bogdan Bryk, of Colonia; her grandson whom she cherished, Alexander Budnik; three sisters, Genowefa Kania of New York, Krystyna Czyz of Poland and Zofia Babula of Poland; and four brothers, Edward Orzech of New York, Tadeusz Orzech of Poland, Stanislaw Orzech of Poland and Krzysztof Orzech of Poland. Funeral will take place on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, 131 East Edgar Road, Linden, NJ 07036. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001.
