With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Bartos, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grammy and dear friend. Barbara passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on April 13, 1950 in Perth Amboy, NJ. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge (Sewaren) and a parishioner of St. James Roman Catholic Church. She was just shy of celebrating her 75th birthday, a milestone that would have been filled with love from those who cherished her most.

Barbara was the beloved wife of Dennis Bartos, with whom she shared 53 beautiful years of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was a fiercely loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer Bartos Kobylakiewicz (fiancé Rafael Adorno Jr), and her son, Christopher Bartos (partner Nacole O'Rear). Her greatest joy came from being grammy to her two precious grandsons, Ty Kobylakiewicz and Jack Kobylakiewicz, who were the light of her life. She was their biggest cheerleader, always in the stands, beaming with pride—especially at their baseball, basketball, and football games. Never missing a chance to support and encourage them.

Barbara was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Niemiec, and her sister, Janice Hulak. She is survived by her loving brother, Ken Niemiec, and sister-in-law, Linda, as well as her brother-in-law, Bob Hulak. She was also a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews. Along with her extended family and dear friends, she will forever be held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was a woman who loved and gave generously, never hesitating to speak her mind. Her honesty was refreshing, her loyalty unwavering, and her presence unforgettable. Barbara had a way of making everyone feel special, whether through her words, her laughter, or the simple joy of sharing time together. She was a force of truth, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy will live on in the lives she touched. Her spirit will never be forgotten. 🕊️ ❤️
