Obituary

Arthur Luber passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Ashbrook Care Center in Scotch Plains. He was 88 years old.

Born on November 25, 1933 in Newark to the late Anne and Joseph Luber, he had resided in South Plainfield for 46 years.

He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served in support of the Korean War. He had owned Joe's Hardware in Irvington for many years, then worked as a salesperson at Warrenville Hardware, and was last employed at Home Depot in South Plainfield for nearly 20 years, prior to his retirement.

Mr. Luber was a member of the South Plainfield Chapter of B'nai Brith.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 66 years, Mary Metzler Luber; and brother, Sanford Luber.

Surviving are his daughter, Cynthia Barnes and her fiancé, David Travis, of Toms River; son, Brian Luber and his wife, Joni, of Mesa, AZ

A graveside memorial service will take place on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Gill Lane, Iselin. Please meet at the Cemetery office by 1:15 p.m. as they ask that we be prompt. We will proceed in our cars from there.
