Arleen E. Vesce Madsen passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Delaware Hospice in Milford, Delaware. She was 85 years old.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for most of her life before moving to Magnolia, DE 8 years ago.

Mrs. Madsen was employed with Prudential Insurance Company for over 25 years before her retirement.

She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the T. Nulty Post #471, American Legion, Iselin; and was very active with BPOE Elks, Lodge 2116, Woodbridge.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Frank T. Vesce, in 1981 and Fred Madsen, in 2022; and brother, Robert August, in 1999.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Kolesarich, and her husband, Louis, of Magnolia, DE; brother, Joseph Scott, of California; grandchildren, Michael Kolesarich, and his wife, Jennifer, of Kenilworth and Stephen Kolesarich of Breckenridge, CO; great-grandchildren, Sean, Derek, Grayson, Aiden, Conner and Phionna; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will take place Thursday 10:30 am at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow at St. Gertrudes Cemetery, Colonia.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Stray Rescue of Saint Louis, 2320 Pine Street, Saint Louis, MO 63103 in Arleen's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
