Arleen V. Schreiber passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at her home in Edison. She was 92 years old.
Born in Spring Lake, she resided in Colonia and Iselin before moving to Edison 2 years ago.
Mrs. Schreiber was employed in the cafeteria at Supermarkets General in Avenel; was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, where she served as a deacon and superintendent of the Sunday school; and belonged to the Port Reading Senior Citizens Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest H. Schreiber, in 2007; 4 sisters, Estelle Petley, Ruth Dombrowski, Olga Trautmann and Barbara Nolan; and a brother, Charles Trautmann. Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Stevenson and her husband, Gary, of South Plainfield and Joan Capouet and her husband, Charles, of Fair Lawn; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Arleen's life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel. Cremation was private under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), Avenel.
