Anthony John Francis Zaranka passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 18 years old.

Born on November 14, 2007 in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of Avenel

Anthony was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 2026.

He was predeceased by his sister, Deeann Rose Armstrong.

Surviving are his mother, Rosemary Zaranka, of Avenel; father, David Carde, of Sayreville; maternal grandparents, Francis and Maryann Stadler, of Avenel; paternal grandparents, David and Marilyn Carde, of Sayreville; his niece Lilly; his mother of the heart Bridget Balogh; and his dearest friends, Ari Rivera and Catherine Hall.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, November 5, 2026 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
