Anthony Garbooshian passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 73 years old.

Born in Newark, he has resided in Avenel since 1972.

Mr. Garbooshian owned and operated A&A Tree Service L.L.C. along with his brother, Chris, since 1970; and was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Tony was a kind and caring person whose greatest joy in his life was his family and friends that he enjoyed playing poker with, and cheering for the Yankees or the New York Giants.

He was predeceased by his father, Samuel Garbooshian.

Surviving are his wife, Gale Antkiewicz Garbooshian; sons, Nick and his wife, Mary Ann, of Brick and Tony of Point Pleasant; mother, Rose Russo Garbooshian, of Whiting; sister, Jeanne Gerlack, of Whiting; brother, Christopher Garbooshian and his Companion Tina Bedard, of Sewaren; grandsons, Nicholas and Tyler; several nieces and nephews; and faithful sidekick, Petey.
