Annette A. Zsamba of Spotswood, formerly of Colonia, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Care One at East Brunswick. She was 72 years old.

Born in Plainfield, she resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township for most of her life, where she graduated from Colonia High School's Class of 1969. Mrs. Zsamba was an Accounts Payable Supervisor with Merck and Company in Rahway for over 30 years, retiring in 2007.

Following her retirement, she moved to Little Egg Harbor with her beloved husband of 37 years, John Zsamba, where she enjoyed catching crabs, reading on the deck, playing with her puppies, Zoey & Lexi, and making her famous fried chicken. They later relocated to Spotswood to be closer to their family.

Mrs. Zsamba, known to many as "Mema", was predeceased by her husband John J. Zsamba; her parents Andrew and Ernestine Sbordone Lanza; and her sister Martha Strode.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Maloney and her partner Joe Nitti; son Wayne Zsamba and wife Danielle; cherished grandchildren Brianna, Chase, Antonio, and Gavin; brother Anthony Lanza and wife Myrta; brother Neil Lanza and partner Lori Fiorenza; and her sister Nancy Myers.

Visiting services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.Costello-greiner.com), located at 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.
