Annerose Menden of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ.  She was 89 years old.

Born in Germany; She resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 55 years.

Mrs. Menden was employed as a Teachers Aid at Woodbine Avenue School #23 for 25 years before retiring

She was a Communicant of St. Andrew's R.C Church in Avenel and a Member of The Avenel Golden Circle Senior Citizens.

She was predeceased by her Husband Manfred Menden who passed away in 2012; a granddaughter Megan McCarthy who passed away in 2022; her sisters and brothers Lydia Clay, Hananlaura, and Geizala, Heinz Schlehuber, Zep Schlehuber, and Roland Schlehuber.

She is survived by her daughters Karin Eckert and her husband Harold of Pittstown, NJ and Rose McCarthy and her husband Michael of Bayville, NJ; her sons Hans Menden and his wife Donna of Toms River and Ronald Menden and his wife Darlene of Parlin; a sister Bridget Maly of Germany; her grandchildren Harold, Jr., Andrea, Shannon, Kerry, Melissa, Jessica, Kayla, and Ronald Jr.; her great-grandchildren Hayden, Hope, Hudson, Michael, Luna, D.J., Hannah, Nolan, Henry, Rui, Andreana, and Michael.

Services will take place Friday, April 4, 2025 6:30 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001. The visiting hours will begin at 3:00 pm.

Cremation will be private.
