Anna Marie Rogers age 94 passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025 at her daughter's home in Woodbridge, N.J.

"Rie" as she was known by her family and friends was born and raised in Jersey City where she met and married "the love of her life", Vincent F. "Jimmy" Rogers. They married in 1948 and raised two daughters.

In 1961, the family moved to a small home in Avenel, NJ where they resided until 1989, when they moved to Blakeslee, PA. After "Jimmy's" passing in 2013 "Rie" moved in with her daughter, Pam, in Hastings, PA where she resided until four and a half years ago, moving back to Jersey with her daughter, Carol, in Woodbridge, N.J.

Her life with "Jimmy" could be summed up in the words to the song "Two sparrows in a Hurricane". "Rie" was a very proud home maker, always doting on her family singing "Wee-whata-woo" to all. She will be sorely missed by all of them.

Other than her husband, "Rie" is predeceased by her parents, James VanDolson and Rose S. Brown; and brother, James VanDolson Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Rose Aquilano, of Keansburg, NJ; daughters, Pamela and her husband, Richard McGlynn, of Hastings, PA and Carol Pichalski of Woodbridge, NJ; grandchildren, Richard and his wife, Merritt McGlynn, of Bordentown, NJ, Peter and his wife, Andrea McGlynn, of Elizabeth, NJ, Brian and his wife, Alicia Pichalski, of Fords, NJ, Kelly and her husband, William Bork, of Iselin, NJ, Mark and his wife, Danielle Pichalski, of Westampton, NJ and David and his wife, Krissy McGlynn, of Carlisle, PA; fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

To honor "Rie's" request, there will be no wake.

Mass will open to family and friends beginning at 11:15 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Saint Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Avenel, NJ followed by the burial in Saint Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.

Donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in Mrs. Rogers' memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
