Anna Ruth Olgren-Connor passed away on Friday June 26, 2020 at her home in Woodbridge, NJ.

Born in Punxsutawney Pa, December 3, 1924, Ruth was the sole survivor among her 12 siblings.

She was predeceased by her husband John in 2001. Ruth is survived by her 5 children, John H Olgren and wife Jo Anna of Lakeville, Pa, Judith Forkell and her husband Howard  of Rochester, Ny  , June Ball of Bensalem, Pa , Jim Olgren of Woodbridge and Kay Olgren of Rochester, Ny, In addition Ruth had 11 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Ruth relocated to Rochester NY where she served as a Hostess for the prestigious University Club of Rochester, retiring in 1987.

In 1988, Ruth and husband John packed up their belongings and moved to Woodbridge to assist their son Jim with the expansion of Floral Expressions Inc. Mom soon became the matriarch and lovingly  known as the "Fruit Basket Queen".

Ruth loved to travel, particularly to St Thomas and of course to Henderson Harbor NY where she fished her heart out at her sister in law Sandys summer home. Ruth and Sandy were more like sisters, truly loving the occasional Southern Comfort Manhattan together. Ruth recently returned from St Thomas and an Alaskan cruise with a happy positive attitude even while facing uncertainty in her life. Her trips with family to the casino was always awesome.

On November 24, 2014, Anna Ruth Olgren-Connor Day was proclaimed by Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac in honor of her approaching 90th birthday. She was so proud of the Mayors' Acknowledgement.   Ruth was an active member of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce and attended many of their functions. The Chamber President Karen Barnes became an awesome friend, always making sure Ruth had the best seat for every event. Mom was acknowledged on her 95th birthday with a cake and birthday well wishes from her Chamber friends' This Christmas luncheon was the highlight of Moms year as she loved listening to the Woodbridge High school Choir sing Christmas carols.

On occasion Ruth was known to enjoy Irish Cream Pie for breakfast courtesy of her friend Jesse Hines. Yes it was loaded with Jameson!!   The highlight of Ruth's life was in her ever increasing family, with Great and Great Great Grandchildren bring her joy through pictures. She was proud to be photographed in a 5 generation family photo, a claim few can make. Ruth loved her garden, backyard swing, her birds and butterflies. Ruth's love of life, heart of gold and infectious smile will continue to warm the hearts of those who knew her. We will forever keep you close!!
