Ann M. Kubichek, daughter of the late Joseph T. Whalen, Sr. and Anna (nee Hayes) and stepdaughter of Andrew D. Todd, Sr., passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at her home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. She was 85 years old.

Born in Exeter, Pennsylvania, she attended Saint Cecilia's Catholic School and worked as a seamstress in Wyoming, PA. She then moved to New Jersey, where she worked for American Can Company in Hillside before becoming a homemaker. She has resided in Iselin for the past 54 years.

Mrs. Kubichek was predeceased by her husband, Steve Kubichek, in 2005; sister, Mary Carol Henderson; and two brothers, Joseph T. Whalen and James J. Whalen.

Surviving are her children, Joanne C. LeVan-Powlus and her husband, Kent, of Bloomsburg, PA, Joseph L. Brutko, Jr. of Avenel and Karen Majek and her partner, Ken Mentzel, of Scotch Plains; brother, Andrew D. Todd, Jr. of Linden; grandchildren, Robert LeVan and his wife, Liz, Stephen LeVan and his wife, Tricia, Christopher LeVan, Scott LeVan and his wife, Lucy, Kaitlyn Majek and Brian Majek; and great-grandchildren, Alyson, Ryan, Alex, Christian, Norah, Reese and Cece.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home , 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Entombment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
