Ann May Koenig of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Haven Hospice at JFK. She was 83 years old. Born in Jersey City, NJ; She resided in Avenel for the past 54 years. Mrs. Koenig was a Communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church and a member of the Altar-Rosary Society where she served as their first President; and The St. Andrew's Knights of Columbus Widow's Group. She was employed in The Customer Service Department at Macy's Warehouse in Edison, NJ for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert G. Koenig who passed away in 2001; and her parents Thomas and Helen Granahan Fergus. She is survived by her daughter Karen Resto and her husband Tony of Avenel; two sisters Mary Nese of Paramus, and Helen Ogden of Massapequa, NY; two grandchildren Belen Resto and Cecelia Resto. Funeral will take place Wednesday 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, North Madison Avenue, Avenel. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
