Ann D. Banz of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at home. She was 82 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY; She resided in Avenel for the past 53 years. Mrs. Banz was a Communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Rose Barilla; a granddaughter Kimberly Apostol. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Edward W. Banz, Sr.; two sons Edward W. Banz, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and Gary Banz and his wife Eileen of Carteret; and her grandchildren Emilie Banz, Alicia Banz, Lauren and Martin Gurczeski, Rebecca Apostol, Edward Banz, III, and Barbara C. Banz; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral will take place Saturday 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel. Entombment will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
