Angelina Garley passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 69 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy on February 7, 1954 to the late Ramona and Jose Vas, she has resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for 32 years.

Mrs. Garley was a graduate of Douglass College and was employed as head of Human Resources with Phoenix Container in North Brunswick for 16 years; and was previously employed in the insurance industry with R&J Associates in Perth Amboy.

She enjoyed playing Parcheesi and shopping.

In addition to her parents, Angie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas "Skip" Garley, in 2017.

Surviving are her children, Kristin Leavitt and her fiancé, Ancil Nicholas, of Iselin and Sean Garley and his wife, Maria, of East Brunswick; brother, Ralph Vas and his wife, Terry, of Perth Amboy; grandchildren, Maison and Thomas; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Iselin. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Contributions toward ovarian cancer research at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, 195 Little Albany Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 in Mrs. Garley's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
