Angela Awong
Ramcharan
February 21, 1970 — August 21, 2024
Avenel
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Angela Awong Ramcharan was born in Princes Town, Trinidad on February 21, 1970, to Betty Pollard and Kenny Awong. Angela's life was a testament to love, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her legacy will be forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
On September 24th, 1994, Angela embarked on a journey of love and partnership with her beloved husband, Kenrick Ramcharan. Their union blessed them with a cherished daughter, Jade Ramcharan. Her devotion to her family knew no bounds. She lived with her family in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the last 23 years.
Angela was a tough, but loving person with a big heart. She was a fierce lioness, protective of her cub, her home, and those she considered family: God given through blood, through love and marriage, and her "sisters from other misters."
Although reserved, Angela had a bright smile and an infectious laugh. She never hesitated to help others. She was an observer of people, only speaking when it was necessary. When she spoke, people listened. Angela was a trusted confidant; her presence, a wave of calmness to those around her.
In Angela's leisure time, she enjoyed fellowship with family, listening to "good" Soca music, and traveling with the loves of her life, Kenny, and Jade. You would often catch her either devouring a good mystery novel, enjoying riveting crime shows, or eyes glued to a Lifetime movie, predicting everything that was going to happen.
Angela was open and inclusive of everyone. She appreciated learning about diverse cultures and finding the common threads in them. She often looked for ways to give to those less fortunate, donating to St. Jude's every year.
Angela's love extended beyond her immediate family, encompassing a vast network of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who held a special place in her heart. Her bond with her nine siblings Vishnu, Susan, Steve, Marilyn, Kelvin, Kimlin, Keisha, Kay, and Josh was irreplaceable; their times together filled with so much fun and laughter.
Angela Awong Ramcharan, 54, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, making her way back to Heaven.
Though she may no longer walk among us, her legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire for generations to come.
Rest in peace, dear Angela, knowing that your love will live on in our hearts forever
