Andrew Dorko, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his home in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township. He was 87 years old.

Born in Pál Földe Zemplén, Hungary, he has resided in Port Reading for most of his life.

Mr. Dorko was employed as a welder with Foley Machinery in Piscataway for 35 years before retiring in 1991.

He was a member of the Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of Woodbridge, where he served as an elder; and also belonged to Local #825 of the Operating Engineers Union in Springfield.

He was predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Stephen Dorko, Sr.; and brothers, Alexander and Lester Dorko.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Julia Bartus Dorko; children, Julie Kozyra and her husband, Robert, of Carteret, Susan Mudrak and her husband, James, of Woodbridge, Andrew Dorko, Jr. and his wife, Irina, of Miami, FL and Arlene Marx and her husband, George, of Basking Ridge; brother, Stephen Dorko, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Jessica, Jonathan, Lauren, Jenna, Lea, Alan, Robert and Daniel; and eight great grandchildren.

The funeral will take place on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
