Obituary

Andrew Askins passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 55 years old.

Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

Mr. Askins was employed as a forklift operator for many years, most recently at Everflow Supplies, Inc. in Carteret.

He enjoyed music and played guitar in several local bands over the years.

Andy was predeceased by his father, George Askins, in 2019; and sister, Lucy Askins, in 1985.

Surviving are his mother, Mary Flora Askins, of Mays Landing; sisters, Mary Drost of Edison, Nancy Zupko of Fords, Judy Lorito of Milmay, Kerry D'Arrigo of Vineland and Amy Livezey of Absecon; brothers, George Askins of Woodbridge, Michael Askins of McKinney, TX, Brian Askins of Millville, Dennis Askins of Springfield, VA, James Askins of Mays Landing and William Askins of Mays Landing; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church (vincentdepaul.org), 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Andy's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
