Amy Muir passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home in Dumont. She was 36 years old. Born in Edison, she resided there and in South Bound Brook before moving to Dumont 3 years ago. Amy graduated from Edison High School and Middlesex County College and was employed as a cake decorator at Pathmark in Jersey City, NJ. She is survived by her wife, Jennifer Platania; children, Sierra and Zaylie; mother, Marcy D'Ambrosio Delli Santi and her husband, Michael, of Toms River; father, James Muir and his wife, Margaret, of Avenel; 2 sisters, Melissa Lawlor and her husband, Brian, of Allentown, PA, Briana Muir of Avenel; a brother Patrick Muir of Avenel; her grandmother, Mary Muir, of Rahway; and niece and nephew, Christina and Ian; and her dog Raven. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Monday evening, November 16, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 8:30p.m. Cremation will be private.
